always secretly wondering what it would be like to actually play the game. Early in, April 2010, I was in Barbados watching the final match betweeen Barbados and the US with my wife Lisa. She lent over and said, “You know you could probably do that.” So upon our return to Ottawa she researched Polo in Ottawa and found the Manotick Polo Club. I contacted Joanne and enquired about what was needed to get started and before I knew it I was surrounded by great people who became friends and have introduced me to the game. After a series of lesssons and riding practice holding a mallet & reins I was out on the field playing the game I wasn’t sure if I’d ever have the opportunity of trying.
